A little bit about us

We're seeking a part-time nanny/babysitter who can start in January, 2-3x a week, 9am-5pm, for our newborn baby girl (due September 2023). The role would be at least 16 hours per week, starting at $16-18x/hour.
Located in Downtown Raleigh, we’re looking for someone that is comfortable with newborns. We’d also love someone that can help with cleaning bottles, baby laundry, and light tidying as needed.
We have a hybrid schedule so there may be times when my husband and I are working from home.
Please reach out with any interest or questions directly. Thanks!

A little bit about us

Our wonderful nanny is picking up and heading to the beach for her husbands job; we're looking for someone ASAP to help us maintain the normalcy we've created for our family and son. Technically, we are looking for a nanny + pseudo house manager role (with a priority on nannying!) the perfect fit would be someone who loves our son like we do, knows what's best for each developmental cycle (& can guide us as new parents [of a now toddler] in decision making) and who will help us be the best version of ourselves. Essentially, the prefect nanny will be the glue to our family someone who not only helps with my son, but also helps with grocery shopping and meal prepping a few days a week, as the schedule allows.

New mommy here looking to have someone amazing watch my little one. I work for Division of Services for the Blind in Wake Co. And I am going back to work part time after my leave. Aliza is almost 2 months old and is a hoot. She is talkative and sweet. We would need you only 4.5 hours a day between 12:00pm-5:30pm. I do have 3 dogs, but they do not need care. They just exist here. Please let me know if you need any more information! - Kyra

Seeking a full-time nanny who can start in June or July, Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm, for our newborn baby boy (due May 2023). We are located in Downtown Raleigh, perfectly walkable to museums, parks, libraries, etc., and are looking for someone who is a team player, who has a "yes and" attitude, and who wants to feel like part of our family. Both my husband and I work from home. We'd also be looking for someone who is able to help with light tidying around the house and meal prep when the baby is sleeping. Our oldest son is already enrolled in full-time preschool, Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm.

How to Find an Infant Care Job in Raleigh, NC

If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.

What is an Infant Nanny in Raleigh, NC

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Raleigh, NC? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
