A little bit about us

We are a family of 5 including one high energy 8-year-old and a twin boy and girl who are 4’1-years-old. Our 8-year-old is homeschooled and this role is primarily to care for the twins while Mom is atwork. We would love someone who could manage all three but as Mom has been doing this, we know it is a handful.

Mom and Dad work from home and will be present/available while you are with the children. Mom takes many meetings and calls, so Dad will be your biggest resource.

This will be a M-F half day schedule which could expand. The location is Winston Salem.

We would love for the right person to begin in Mid December or January.

A little bit about us

We are seeking an experienced nanny to start a full-time position ASAP for our 8-month-old (primarily) and 3YO at our home. We are looking for a caregiver to engage and enrich our children through crafts, music, and play. Mom will be working from home and dad will be working from home occasionally. The baby stays home and the 3YO attends pre-school all day, but we may need help in the late afternoon and on other occasions for the toddler. Care for our baby, toddler, and family dogs are the priority but basic household duties are also required.

The ideal candidate is CPR/First Aid certified, vaccinated against Covid 19, comfortable with small dogs, a non-smoker, and has a clean driving record and your own transportation. We are looking for someone who is reliable, honest, energetic, responsible, and organized.

Care is needed from 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday through Friday, with some flexibility needed and regular opportunities for overtime.

A little bit about us

2 Mom family in Winston Salem looking for in-home nanny 3 days a week from 9-6ish for our 5 month old Winston. Days will differ week to week between Monday and Thursday, no Fridays. Monday is a guarantee, the other 3 days change.
Must have/know: Cameras in use throughout the home and will be checked periodically throughout the day. 2 large fluffy dogs, sweet and loving.
Winston has reflux and spits up occasionally now, he is medicated so it’s rare. Can get gassy due to reflux from time to time but soothes well with gas drops.
Currently working on more independent sleep and play but he has a hard time if you’re not in his sight- no this doesn’t mean you have to hold him all day. He enjoys his floor time and sit up chairs as well as his high chair.
We’ve been told he would benefit from a 1 on 1 caregiver right now so if you feel you would be interested in caring for our little dude, please message me so we can arrange a time to talk. We’re looking for someone to start immediately but that doesn’t mean we will settle, we are looking for the right fit for everyone, Winston, us and the nanny- we want this to be a long term thing.
Preferred CPR certified or be willing to obtain (at our cost), willing to be interactive with the baby and aid in working towards milestones. Light housekeeping- as in cleaning up from the days care (bottles, tidying, etc)

How to Find an Infant Care Job in Winston-Salem, NC

If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.

What is an Infant Nanny in Winston-Salem, NC

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Winston-Salem, NC? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
