A little bit about us

We're a warm, fun-loving family of five - two dads, two boys (5 and 1) and a baby girl. We're looking for part-time, long-term help (1 year or more) starting in July, Mondays through Thursdays 9a to 3p, with some flexibility in hours. We love hiking, going to playgrounds, museums, reading and playing make-believe. Our oldest son will be starting kindergarten in fall, so mostly we're looking for help with our second son (who will be 18 months) and our daughter (who will be about 6 months). We'd like to find a nanny who is active and loves the outdoors - we have 3 acres of mostly woods, connected to Orange Village Park, so there's a lot of opportunity for outdoor play. A crafty/artistic side is also a huge plus. Little to no driving the kids required. Both dads work primarily from home so can be available for support.

A little bit about us

We need a nanny for our 2 children in Orange. And we're looking now! We are open to a live-in nanny if we find the right person. Our 2nd child is due to arrive in April 2021. We have a 5-year-old who attends school 9-3:30 Mon-Thurs. The newborn would be sleeping throughout the day while the 5-year-old is at school, but we also would like someone who can cook healthy vegetarian dishes for our family during the work week. Housekeeping would be part of caregiver's responsibilities including laundry. We would like someone who is willing to give a bottle at nights initially to our newborn. We are open to live-in for part of the week or for all the time. We have plenty of space to accommodate a live-in position in any capacity the nanny wishes--as long as it's the right person for our family. Please contact [email hidden]

How to Find an Infant Care Job in Moreland Hills, OH

If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.

What is an Infant Nanny in Moreland Hills, OH

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Moreland Hills, OH? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
