A little bit about us

I have a beautiful sweet 3 year old girl and a 1 year old boy. Both of our children are mixed, so having someone who is familiar with black culture as well is a plus. My 3 year old is very energetic and is super sweet. We are looking for someone that is flexible, to take great care of our kids for date nights, vacations and sometimes occasional full days. Example 8 am to 8pm for full days and date nights 5pm to 9pm.

A little bit about us

We are a Belgian couple living in Corvallis, and we just had our first son. We are looking for a nanny starting in April when we both are back to work. Ideally, we are looking for someone to take care of him full time (Monday-Friday, 8am - 4pm), but we could make it work if it is only the mornings. We don’t have any pets and work from home often. We are looking for someone who has experience caring for infants and who is actively involved in their good development through various activities.

A little bit about us

I have a 9 month old baby who is crawling and cruising around! She is very chill and social for the most part. She takes two naps a day and goes to bed between 7&8 most of the time. She eats solids and takes formula and has a pretty easy schedule to follow. She is fun and crazy! We also have a 6year old pit mix who will become your bestfriend after he yells at you a couple times. He has Addison’s disease so he cannot regulate his stress hormones and electrolytes so he is on a bunch of meds and gets anxious with new people. He has never bit anyone and will simply run around barking and being a grumbly asshole for a little bit and then will be so excited to have a new friend that he will yell some more and then eventually run around with his ball and want pets. We may have you feed him and give him his pills but you won’t need to do much with him just tell him to shut up when someone walks by the window. The baby’s name is Joanna, she loves the dog, walks, books, cooking shows, food, climbing, music, and occasionally eating shit (not literally). She’s a great sleeper and will usually go down super easy if you follow her simple routine. She can drink her bottle on her own and feed herself. She is a lot of fun!

How to Find an Infant Care Job in Corvallis, OR

If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.

What is an Infant Nanny in Corvallis, OR

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Corvallis, OR? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
