A little bit about us

Hello! My husband and I are looking for a recurring daytime nanny for our 3 month old little boy. We both work from home full time, as we have fully remote jobs, so we will be at home during the time when we need a nanny. So far he is such a sweet, calm baby! He does not have any known health issues. My husband and I typically start our work day around 8 a.m. and end at 4pm. We are looking for someone to take care of our son during the day while we work on Tuesdays weekly during this time frame, since we both have a lot of meetings and it will be difficult to tend to him during that time. We look forward to meeting an awesome nanny!

A little bit about us

I have 3 littles! Two handsome boys (3.5 years and 8 months) and a beautiful girl (2 years old). We need someone to help with snacks and lunch and promoting manners. The kids love crafts and other structured activities as well as free play and reading books. The kids need guidance with rules (for example, reminding them to throw away their garbage from snacks, put toys away where they belong, etc). They also love being outside playing trucks, with bubbles, or sidewalk chalk. My two youngest are still in diapers. If we could have help with potty training, that would be great but not a requirement!

We are NOT looking for someone to sit on their phone while the kids run around nor are we looking for someone to sit them in front of a TV all day. They love to engage with people and do well when they have attention. When there is screen time, they get cranky.

Hours are fairly flexible and have the opportunity to add hours. There is no requirement to take the kids anywhere and no chores that I ask. I just need someone who can give my children attention and care. They are so loving and have been attached to several nannies. We need some more consistency in our home. Thank you!

How to Find an Infant Care Job in Canonsburg, PA

If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.

What is an Infant Nanny in Canonsburg, PA

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Canonsburg, PA? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
