A little bit about us

Hello, my daughter is 7 months old and my husband and I both work from home currently, but I will be returning to the office in august or September and would need a nanny then. We can be pretty flexible with start/end times each day as my husband will be home and my office is pretty flexible. The main duties will just be to play with and feed the baby and put her down for 2 naps a day. Should she sleep well for you, you’d have 3 hours of free time while she sleeps to study or do whatever! Hopefully we can find a good match!

A little bit about us

We're expecting our first child in March 2021, and hoping for a live-out childcare worker starting in May. I work at the University of Pittsburgh, and my on-campus work hours are 4-5 days a week for 4-6 hours a day, depending on my project schedule. My partner works second shift (3PM-12AM Sunday-Thursday), so we will need coverage at our home from about 8AM-3PM Sunday, Tuesday-Thursday.

A little bit about us

We are a warm, respectful family seeking a kind, dependable, and engaging nanny to care for our 3yo twin daughters.

We are looking for someone who is nurturing, proactive, and genuinely enjoys spending time with young children.

Our ideal nanny is someone who will create a safe, loving, and fun environment for the girls through play, outdoor time, reading, creative activities, and a consistent routine.

Reliability, strong communication, and a calm, caring presence are very important to us.

We value a nanny who is professional, trustworthy, and feels like a steady, positive part of our family’s day-to-day life. Prior childcare experience is preferred, and twin experience is a major plus.

We are hoping to find someone who is looking for a great long-term fit with a family who deeply values the person caring for their children.

Our little girl is 6 months old. She will just need a few bottle and a few naps and give you lots of smiles. We may ask to wash a few bottles but most the time is just sitting on the couch. We are looking for 9:30am to 3:30pm, for 1 to 3 days a week. Tuesday Wednesday and/or Thursday. My wife works from home so she'll be there for any questions. Looking for a consistent reliable person.

A little bit about us

Hello! I'm having my first baby in June and am seeking a part-time nanny in the beginning of September when I return to work and the baby is about 10 weeks old.

The nanny would work three eight-hour days each week. I'm picturing Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday starting at 9:30 am, but there is some flexibility on which three days (although Wednesday has to be one of the days) and what time to start in the morning.

A little bit about us

Night nanny needed in Forest Hills. My wife and I just welcomed our first baby into this world, and we’re looking for some help a couple nights a week to feed/soothe/change our daughter, Charlotte, as needed. Happy to discuss other nights, but we are looking for help 3 nights a week with a time range of 12am-6am each night. We were thinking MWF, but as mentioned we can work around a schedule as long as we can maintain that 3 night consistency most weeks. This position should run through at least November, and we will definitely consider extension of services depending on if it makes sense for us (that will be the time Charlotte begins Daycare). As a heads up, we have a big fur family that includes 3 cats and 2 dogs - the dogs think they’re cats (both small dogs) and the cats think they’re dogs. All very pleasant, but our oldest cat, Mabel, does enjoy her peace (youngest cat Polly doesn’t understand the term).

Final notes, our expectations of duties include taking care of Charlotte. Outside of that if you’d like to take on other duties to pass time that would be perfectly fine, but I do usually stay pretty well ahead of most chores.

How to Find an Infant Care Job in Pittsburgh, PA

If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.

What is an Infant Nanny in Pittsburgh, PA

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Pittsburgh, PA? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
