A little bit about us

We have a newborn boy (born Feb 2025) and will need some part-time coverage in April/May, with potentially more coverage in June and July when I return to work.

We live in the heart of Bristol, TN. We have two other children who are in daycare, as well as 2 dogs. We are looking for someone who loves infants, and loves to go on walks. Bonus if you don’t mind doing a few dishes to help keep the kitchen manageable for our busy family (no cleaning or housekeeping expected). If for whatever reason one or both of the other two children need to be home from school while you’re on duty, we would pay for additional childcare accordingly.

For April and May, we’re looking for 1-2 days a week and can be flexible with both what days and timing. My husband has his own business and may either be in his workshop (at home) or at a customer’s home. I will use the time you’re with the baby to run errands, go to the gym, get out of the house :)

A little bit about us

I have twin boys (currently 16 months) who have some mild developmental delays (mostly with gross motor and speech). They have a lot of in-home appointments with early intervention that happen about every 2 weeks. They also have a weakened immune system that makes them sick approximately 50% of the time, which is why I want to get them out of daycare. I’m also 6 months pregnant with another boy. Work hours would be approximately 8 to 5 and the pay is up for negotiation as I’ve never hired a nanny. You will need to prepare food for them. They typically eat at 8am, 12pm and have an afternoon snack before 6pm dinner, which we would handle. There would be no addition responsibilities outside of caring for the boys and cleaning their high chair trays after they eat.

A little bit about us

Hi there! We are looking for someone to help out with our baby as we go back to work. We both work from home, but would love it if we had some help with light housework (i.e. washing baby bottles, doing a load of baby laundry once a day, some tidying up, etc.) and with watching the baby while we are in meetings (changing her diaper when necessary, giving her a bottle when necessary, helping her get to sleep for naps, etc.) Baby girl is 5 weeks old and mom and dad are already exhausted, so going back to work without any help doesn’t sound easy - we would appreciate some help so very much!

Hours/days could vary slightly, but would be pretty consistent during the week Mon-Fri 9:00AM - 4:30PM.

How to Find an Infant Care Job in Bristol, TN

If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.

What is an Infant Nanny in Bristol, TN

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Bristol, TN? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
