My daughter is named Juniper (Juni for short) and she is 6 weeks old right now. I work in Healthcare so my schedule changes days every other week, but we would possibly need care 2 to 3 times a week from 7:30am to 5pm. We have a dog that loves attention, but he'd really just need to be let outside every so often.

A little bit about us

Hello, my name is Victoria I have three kiddos. Nazario is my oldest he’s 6 years old full of energy and always willing to lend a helping hand. Natalia is 3 and is super active, just a beautiful burst of energy. Nailani will be a year in July. She’s just a fluff ball of cuddles and smiles. I am needing help between 6-815 pm weekdays. I work full time and my kids attend daycare and I would need help just at the end of my day. Which would include picking them up getting them dinner until I can clock out. My work hours are from 930am-815 pm. I work at Metro by T-Mobile. If the kids grow to love the nanny we would definitely wanna work in weekends. Natalia is currently potty training and Nailani is still in diapers and drinks formula. My other have their own electronic devices. That keeps them pretty entertained. I would just need nanny to pick them up after daycare which would be by 6 M-F.

I have two baby girls under 2 years old. We will be new to the area and I start working at Hendrick in August. Once I get on a regular schedule I will be working three 12 hour shifts per week and will be needing someone to take care of my little ones while I work. The days that I work will vary each week, but I will be able to provide plenty of notice.

How to Find an Infant Care Job in Abilene, TX

If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.

What is an Infant Nanny in Abilene, TX

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Abilene, TX? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
