A little bit about us

!Actively looking for babysitter/nanny ASAP!

we are looking for a babysitter for our two boys of 1.5 and almost 4 years old, for the beginning of May. I have a busy job working from home so we are looking for someone to help with the kids during the day, and potentially some light housework, like the laundry and cleaning up toys. We live in South Corpus. We are also open to a shared babysitter, so the boys get to play with other kids.

Working times between 8am and 4pm, Monday to Friday, but are somewhat flexible, a late start or early finish is possible too.

The kids love to play together with cars and balls. The older one loves arts, Play-Doh and games, the younger one usually is good at entertaining himself but also loves reading books together and playing with blocks.

A little bit about us

- My husband and I are looking for a part-time nanny to help us out when I go back to work.
- Hours will vary because my shifts change every week but we will likely need someone 3 to 4 times a week for about 3-5 hours.
- My son is 13 months old
- My mother will also be helping around the house at the same time, but she is unable to bend/sit down and care completely for our son.
- No other expectations other than caring for our sweet boy in our home (i.e. feeding, changing, putting down for naps, playing/teaching. occasional stroller walks weather permitting, light cleaning)
- If you're interested, we can set up a meeting in person or on Skype. Thanks!

How to Find an Infant Care Job in Corpus Christi, TX

If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.

What is an Infant Nanny in Corpus Christi, TX

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Corpus Christi, TX? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
