A little bit about us

I work in Emergency Dentistry & it’s a demanding job. Often times I am unsure of the time I get off due to it being an emergency based practice. I can get off anywhere between 3;00pm-6:00pm. I’m also in the Army reserves. So I will expect the work times to start at 7:00am-until between those end times.

I am expecting in September. The father and I will be co-parenting. I am trying to go ahead and get things in order before the due date so there won’t be very much to do once the baby is here. This will be my first child.

Also my expectations would be bathing, feeding, creating a routine for my child. As well as meal prepping and basic child laundry. I am willing to offer 1 week off paid at the end of your 1st year and 2 weeks paid on the 2nd year for the right candidate as well as holiday pay.

A little bit about us

We are looking for a part-time nanny for the school year (starting in September) who is very comfortable with caring for toddlers. We have two girls (a 4 y/o and an 18 month old). The typical days and hours would be Monday (8:30am-6pm), and Tuesday, Thursday (1:45pm-6pm - pick up from school nearby our home). Total hours would be around 17-18 hours weekly. A reliable car is necessary and ability/feel comfortable to drive with two children. Nanny would be responsible for picking up both girls from school and either going to park or playing at our home until we get home from work. Please reach out if you think you would be a good fit for our family.

How to Find an Infant Care Job in Dallas, TX

If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.

What is an Infant Nanny in Dallas, TX

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Dallas, TX? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
