A little bit about us

My husband and I had a baby girl in November of 2024. We both work from home and are looking for someone to come a few hours a day to do tummy time, feed bottles, and help with naps. Only chores needed are related to baby like cleaning bottles or baby laundry. Looking for someone who prioritizes safety and also up to date on child development. Must be okay with pets as we have three cats and a dog!

A little bit about us

We are moving from Houston and are looking for a full-time nanny on a long term basis for our daughter who will be 5 months then.

- Schedule: Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm
- Start Date: Feb 6, 2023
- Location: Santa Rita Ranch (78642)
- Compensation: $18-22 / hour based on experience and qualifications. Negotiable.

Responsibilities:
1) Bottle feed breast milk (pace feeding important) + Help transition to solids at 6 months
2) Strictly follow safe sleep practices
3) Play age-appropriate developmental activities
4) Change diapers, wash baby's bottle and fold baby's laundry, take baby on occasional walks in stroller

I am sleep training my baby so it is important for the nanny to follow schedule for feed-play-sleep.

Basic Requirements:
1) Punctual. I will work from home so will be available but I have a demanding job so I need reliability
2) Follows instructions and requires minimal supervision. Prefer proactiveness and over-communciation in general so expectations are clear from both sides
3) Non smoker. Fully vaccinated for flu and covid (if choose not to be vaccinated, then need to be extremely cautious + hygienic)
5) CPR / AED certification preferred

Other Preferences:
Since this is full time and long-term position, we want someone that has enough experience with small babies until toddlerhood. The nanny needs to be patient and loving towards my baby, engaging, and have a sweet temperament. Our baby will grow up around the nanny for 40 hours a week, so it is important that the nanny models good behavior for the baby to learn.

How to Find an Infant Care Job in Liberty Hill, TX

If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.

What is an Infant Nanny in Liberty Hill, TX

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Liberty Hill, TX? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
