A little bit about us

Hi! I am a single foster parent so I am really needing a helping hand.I work over nights so I need someone who can work 7am- 4pm Monday -Friday (mama needs to sleep sometime ) and I work every other weekend so I would need to change up the schedule those weeks. The older kids will be in school. I need someone who can take them to and pick them up. They all have various appointments and I am trying to get them to be at the school or the house so that it will be easier on everyone. There still might one or two that you may have to take a child to. I work full time and go to college (on line)as well. They such cool little dudes and dudettes. They love to sing and dance. They are also fascinated about everything. Bugs are always a hit. If they find a frog, you may have to rescue the poor thing. They love to play with them. I just know the poor thing is having a heart attack the whole time. I try to have a chill atmosphere in the home. that being said, I am a stickler for the schedule being followed unless an emergency arises. The younger three still take naps, they will tell you they don't though. All I expect you to do is ,beside what I have already mentioned , is to have the kids wash up after bathroom visits & before eating food. All food and drink is in the highchair, or at the table for the older kids. ABSOLUTELY NO FOOD ANYWHERE ELSE, unless they are watching a movie or we are having a picnic. The kids are to clean up after themselves as much as possible. If you could please make sure the dishes make it into the sink, I'll take it from there. We do have cats and dogs. You may be asked to let the dog out and to let them back in. There will be plenty of food and drink for you to have so don't worry about packing a lunch unless you want to.

What is an Infant Nanny in Lockhart, TX

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Lockhart, TX? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
