A little bit about us

We are looking for an extremely reliable and trustworthy nanny near Allen, TX, for our sweet baby, John Francis, born in 02/2023. We would prefer someone who could help out with feeding, changing, play time, baby’s laundry, light housekeeping and tidying up around the house, and maybe some light meal prep. If you want to bake some cookies while you’re here, we won’t stop you! : )

We require a nanny who has reliable transportation, does not smoke, and is open to a possible long-term engagement, not just students home for summer.

A little bit about us

Hi everyone! My husband and I are moving to Allen by mid-July and are looking for a part-time nanny for our two littles beginning sometime between late July and mid-August (flexible start date). Ideally, we’d love someone to start a bit earlier so the kids can adjust before I return to work in mid-August. We are also consider daycare options.

Schedule would generally be:
• Monday–Friday
• Either 8am–1pm or 9am–2pm (25 hrs/week)
• Occasional weekend evenings for date nights
• Major holidays off

We’re hoping to find someone dependable with minimal planned time off outside of normal holidays/vacation coordination.

Pay: $12–18/hr depending on experience, fit, and arrangement.

Our kiddos:
• 3-month-old baby
• 21-month-old toddler

For our baby, we’re looking for someone comfortable with age-appropriate infant care including bottle feeding, diaper changes, tummy time, naps, soothing, developmental play, and helping maintain a consistent routine.

For our toddler, we’d love someone engaging and interactive who enjoys incorporating learning through play — letters, numbers, music, reading, sensory activities, outdoor play, and helping prepare him for preschool readiness. We are a low/no-screen-time household.

We are very open to a nanny share, especially since we’re moving to a new city and would love for our toddler to have opportunities to socialize and make friends. We’re also open to a nanny bringing their own child if the rate reflects that arrangement.

If you know someone wonderful (or are interested yourself), please message me with experience, references, and rates. Thank you so much!

What is an Infant Nanny in Lucas, TX

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Lucas, TX? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
