A little bit about us

Our family is looking for a part time in home nanny for our 3 month old little boy. Mom works a swing shift (11a-11p) on a rotating schedule and dad works from home. We are needing some help for the hours that both of us are working, 2-4 days a week. Hours will be approximately 11-6 most days. There are times that Dad travels for work and we will need help from 1030am-1130pm up to three days in a row. Some weekend days will be required due to mom’s work schedule. We do have pets in the home but they are friendly (however, the cat may judge you from afar). Experience with littles and safety training is necessary. Start date will be August 20th.

A little bit about us

I am causally searching for a babysitter/mothers helper in South Tyler area. This position will not start immediately but within about a month. Baby girl is 6 weeks old currently and around 3 months at time of start. I am looking for 1-2 evenings a week and a couple hours one or two Saturdays a month.

Your tasks would include caring for baby and helping with her needs i.e. feeding, folding her laundry, washing bottles and any other misc tasks I might need assistance with. The sitter must be comfortable around dogs as I have two.

I will most likely be home during the time doing other things around the house, but occasionally I might leave to run an errand or two. The sitter must be comfortable with me being around and not actively helping with baby.

This would be ideal for a high school/ college girl looking to make some extra money. We would love for a long term relationship.

How to Find an Infant Care Job in Tyler, TX

If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.

What is an Infant Nanny in Tyler, TX

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Tyler, TX? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
