A little bit about us

I have 2 boys, 1.5yo and almost 3yo. My husband works a 24hr on/72 hr off schedule and I work 13 hour days. We typically overlap 1 day a week and a periodic weekend day. We are looking for childcare in our home on our overlap days 7:45am-10:30pm for the week day and 8:45am-8:30pm for the weekend day. The week day varies between Monday and Wednesday. Usually we have 1 weekend day a month. We also like to have someone we can call when we have other scheduling things come up from time to time. Our expectations are just to have dishes used during the day cleaned and keeping the boys fed, changed and entertained. A plus would be to have toys tidied at the end of the day.

A little bit about us

Working parents looking for in home part time caregiver for our Sweet 9 month old
Need childcare while at work 2 days a week from 9 am to 5 pm.

Childcare will occur in our home while Mom is working in upstairs office. Our daughter is breast fed, and while she is still nursing, mom will pop downstairs as needed to feed and help get her down for a nap. She has been working on solids and we are using baby led weaning and the Montessori method as we introduce her to food. Mom will usually have food prepared for lunch time, but will need help administering meal time.

Responsibility include: Playing/Interacting with our newly mobile baby, facilitating lunchtime, and assisting with getting her down for nap, as well as providing outdoor time. Outdoor time would generally on our property, but as she gets older, I hope to have our nanny facilitate trips to the park / local library.

We are looking for an individual with experience in early childhood education and would consider a higher pay scale for any individual with a background in education or have a familiarity with Montessori method.

Regular working hours week to week would only be 3 days but anyone with additional availability for as needed/on call care would be fantastic.

How to Find an Infant Care Job in Harrodsburg, KY

If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.

What is an Infant Nanny in Harrodsburg, KY

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Harrodsburg, KY? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
