Hoping to share a nanny with a family across the street from us! They are expecting in the middle of April, we’re expecting at the end of June. We’re both looking for care on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 8 AM - 5 PM for the babies. We have two older children that will be in school during the day and are easy going when they will be around. Nice homes in a nice neighborhood.

I am looking for a nanny to help my wife part-time with our kids. We have 3 currently and she is expecting our 4th in November. She just needs some help with household chores, some help with the kids, etc. We are looking for 5 days a week, roughly 5 hours a day. Our two daughters are 8 months old and 2 years old and our son is 11 years old. We also do have 2 dogs and a cat. Hours may vary depending on time of day, help may be needed more in the afternoon/evening once school starts up again.

A little bit about us

Our caregiver will need to work 2 days per week, mostly Mondays and Friday but there may be occasional variations. Parents will be returning to work after parental leave, baby will be 4-5 months. Caregiver will initially plan to be home all day with child but as they age can be open to age appropriate activities outside of home. Our 3-year-old is currently in daycare but may occasionally be home as well but this will be rare. Our 7-year-old may also need to be met at the bus stop as he gets home from school but we will be home shortly after.

How to Find an Infant Care Job in Bel Air, MD

If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.

What is an Infant Nanny in Bel Air, MD

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Bel Air, MD? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
