A little bit about us

Hello. I’m getting ready to go back to work. My husband works from home but we need someone to take care of our little Princess while he works. Days will be flexible. She is currently 3 months and will be 5 months when we need help.
We are seeking a fun and loving full-time, long term nanny for our nanny share. We’re looking for someone who is dedicated and caring, happy to be active and outdoors, and excited to come up with age-appropriate activities. A typical day would consist of following their feeding and nap routine, diaper changes, age-appropriate developmental activities including outside exploring and walks, and playtime with toys. Ideally, candidates bring great energy and ideas to engage and entertain babies through their toddler years, in a way that will help them reach milestones and find joy in every day. No pets.

Our ideal candidate:

*has experience with infants and toddlers, including CPR certified, and can provide 2 references

A little bit about us

Hello. We are a small, simple family. Both parents work full time. At this time, I work from home as a teacher. Working from home presents a challenge to care for my young children. My first son is autistic. He is energetic and needs to be continuously watched—my school-age children and attending school virtually.
In contrast, my first daughter is mostly independent of her needs. My autistic son has the most need. My last son is a happy infant when he is dry, fed, and in company. My husband and I are down to earth, and the right person will easily integrate into the family and feel at home. A typical day should start by 10 am and end by 4 pm Mondays through Fridays. Duties include light cleaning, infant feeding, partnering, and companion to my autistic child, help with homeschooling/virtual schooling and homework, if possible, pick up and drop off when school transitions back to in-person instruction.

How to Find an Infant Care Job in Bryans Road, MD

If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.

What is an Infant Nanny in Bryans Road, MD

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Bryans Road, MD? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
