A little bit about us
I have somewhat frequent appointments that I need to be child free for. I’d also like to go on dates with my husband again!
My older kids love cars and books, and they all love being outside. Daytime jobs would just be playing, feeding prepared foods, and changing diapers. Evening/date night jobs would be playing, warming up dinner, and doing the bedtime routine. The youngest is not yet on a schedule but is generally only eating and sleeping after 7 pm. All would require preparation of breast milk bottles.

I'm the mother of a fun, giggly 6 month old who loves music, eating, and watching learning videos.
We're currently looking for someone who can provide care for her either by coming to our house Monday, Wednesday, and Thursdays or we can bring her to you those days.
We don't need anything extra besides someone who can just watch, play and care for her while I'm at work.

We are looking for someone who doesn’t mind a changing/rotating schedule with hours that vary each week or someone who can commit to certain days each week with a week or two break here and there. Because I am a nurse who works only 3 days a week, we may only need help 1-3 days Monday through Friday. Additionally, we are looking for someone to ideally start at 7 am with an off time at 3 pm on days you would work. These hours are also flexible if you need it. You will be off weekends, holidays, and family vacations. We are giving 2 15 min paid breaks throughout your shift and 1 30 min unpaid break (unable to lump them together considering husband’s work schedule). No expectation to clean or cook. You’ll be able to accrue paid time-off to be used for sick time, a mental health day, or vacation time.
We are hoping to find someone CPR-certified and knows and applies child development principles, someone with great communication skills, reliable, and loves to play with babies. Parking is free and is on our property in a safe, child-friendly neighborhood. We are looking for someone to grow with us. If you didn’t guess, this is our first baby.
Job Specifics
Start Date: Sometime at the end of May
Work Schedule: 1-3 days a week from 7 am to 3 pm (8-24 hours a week)
Pay: Negotiable to experience but will be paid hourly
Benefits: Paid time-off, paid and unpaid breaks during shift, off weekends, holidays, and family vacation

How to Find an Infant Care Job in Crofton, MD
If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.
What is an Infant Nanny in Crofton, MD
An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.
Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position
Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:
- What is your specific experience with this age group?
- Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Crofton, MD? Are you willing to be trained?
- How do you handle a crying baby?
- How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
- What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
- How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
- What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?
You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
