A little bit about us

We are a family of three in Delton seeking a part-time nanny for our 7-month-old girl. Nanny will work 1-6pm Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays for 20 guaranteed hours a week.

We would love for the nanny to begin December 13th but start dates are flexible into the new year.
Ideally, candidates would engage our daughter in developmentally appropriate play, be comfortable introducing solids (she loves everything so far!), and clean up activities as they go throughout the day. We would greatly value a nanny who is caring, patient, would enjoy singing songs and reading to her.

My husband and I are professionals who primarily work from home in dedicated workspaces. Our work from home status will adjust as our workplaces’ COVID policies/procedures change.
There are two loving dogs in our home – an 8 year old Siberian husky and a 2 year old pointer-mix. The nanny should be comfortable around our furry pets and be willing to let them in/out to potty during the day. No need to otherwise care for the dogs. Our daughter is absolutely smitten with our pointer-mix!

We are looking for a nanny who is a non-smoker, is CPR/First Aid Certified, and is up to date on vaccinations or willing to be vaccinated prior to beginning work (Tdap, Flu and COVID). We are willing to reimburse costs for vaccinations and trainings. The right candidate must pass a background check and drug test prior to starting the position.
Preference will be given to those who are able to commit one year.

We are offering guaranteed pay and paid holidays.

What is an Infant Nanny in Delton, MI

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Delton, MI? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
