A little bit about us

Looking for a nanny 3 days a week Monday, Wednesday, Friday for full days. Be able to pick up our 4-year-old from school and take care of our newborn at home while we both work. Our son is named Finnegan. He's a very energetic, good little boy. Great listener. Loves to play with Legos and cars and our little girl is still pretty chill and hungry lol. We have two dogs. Maisie and Lucy they are goldendoodles. They're both extremely well mannered and well trained. Listen to your every command and very clean. Some of the responsibilities would be to pick up Finnegan from school and if possible while at the house. Maybe help pick up a little while the little ones napping and Finnegan's at school. We live in a beautiful home in the country just out of town. Plenty of space to run around and play with the kiddos outside. Big full basement as well with lots of toys.

A little bit about us

We are looking for a nanny primarily for our son born in Jan 2022 and for our 3 year old daughter born March 2019. We are looking for four days a week (M-Thurs) from 7:30-3:30 p.m. Our daughter will be going to preschool/daycare for at least 5 hours a day on Monday/Tuesday/Thursdays and we would need help picking her up around lunchtime for lunch routine at home and an afternoon nap.

The ideal caregiver would help with light housework that will help us keep up with the day to day, but no heavy cleaning. Running the roomba, keeping the kitchen free of dishes/clutter, helping our daughter pick up her toys, etc.

We are looking for someone that will treat our kids as their own and partner with us as they continue to grow.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Saint Clair, MI? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
