A little bit about us

I am a student at a local college and my boyfriend works on the railroad. My son is almost 11 months old. Already walking all over! We need someone with experience to keep our little man safe, entertained and comforted from 8am to 3 PM. We also have a 120lb great pyrenees puppy... He will be outside majority of the day. However if my son is napping, I want our dog to be brought in and fed/watered. Household chores are not required, with the exception of messes made in your care. No smoking in our home. Absolutely no pictures of my child on your personal devices. Encourage playing and learning as much as possible. Read some children's books. Sing the ABC's and 123's. Education is important to us. So is respect. Use your manners, not just with us but with our son. Respect our time, enough to show up, not just on time, but 15 mins early to discuss the days plans. We want someone with experience. Baby's and toddlers can be stressful and experienced people tend to handle those situations better. Experience would also make us feel that we could trust your judgment when caring for our son. We need someone who is kind, fun, and playful but still assertive and capable of upholding any rules given for our son. Its is very important to us that you are not on your phone through out the day. Our child should be your number one priority. We dont want him to be expected to sit in front of a tv all day. We want this to be a good experience for him, to feel comfortable and even excited for your return the following day. So be prepared to show up with a few small plans(read a book, practice sign language, build a fort, learning songs and dances). He'll probably take an hour and a half nap and eat lunch in your care. Milk in bottle at nap times, juice in sippy cup otherwise.

What is an Infant Nanny in Festus, MO

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Festus, MO? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
