A little bit about us

Looking at an approximate start date of Feb 2024, 2 days a week 9am-5pm, flexible days Monday - Thursday. The due date is Oct 31 and we’re expecting a baby girl, but wouldn’t need assistance until my wife and I are off parental leave Jan / Feb 2024.

I work from home as a Software Engineer and my wife is a pelvic floor physical therapist. We’re easy going and happy to work with what days suite you the best. Just looking for a little additional help for the new baby, so that I can focus on work during the day. We do have 2 dogs, but I have been handling that responsibility so no need to focus on anything but the baby!

Being multilingual would be a huge win, but not a requirement.

A little bit about us

Carson is our 4 months old baby boy, both of us soon to be working full time (mom 9-5 Dad 1-10 roughly) our schedule isnt set yet and will be a couple weeks before we have it figured out. We will need someone for daily part time care in between shifts, we have 3 cats and need someone who is caring, good communication, trustworthy and respectful. He eats every 2-3 hours, loves to play with his stuffed animals and is starting to teeth. We are only looking for care for our boy, cats do not need much attention but love pets and cuddles. Roughly looking for hours between 12/1pm (dad goes to work) until 5-6 pm (mom comes home) l. He sleeps usually 1 hour after every feed, diaper changes often, loves walks and holding leaves. He is mostly a really chill guy, not looking for house work just need care for our sweet boy.

How to Find an Infant Care Job in Kent, OH

If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.

What is an Infant Nanny in Kent, OH

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Kent, OH? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
