A little bit about us

Amanda and I have five kids Landon, Lane, Emma, Walker, and Luke. We live in north Crystal Falls and I commute to work while Amanda works from home. We are in need with help with our youngest 3 kids. Amanda is needing part- time help with watching kids during the week while she works and periodic monthly watching for after hours, to maybe see a movie without kids. We don't have dogs, only a cat. House is pretty chill for the most part... except the 3 year old 2 year old and the cat.

A little bit about us

Looking for a new nanny after ours moved out of state. We are a laid back family with very flexible schedules. Husband is remote and I am remote two days a week. We are always around if our nanny needs support or some recharge time but we don't get in your way. Toddler will need time outside the house and I can help with the baby as needed to make outings easier.

We will 100% need help Tues, Wed, Thurs. Mondays and Fridays since I'm remote I plan on just taking care of the kids myself, but for the right nanny we could go full time! Start time flexible but probably around 8:30 am, end time also flexible. Probably around 3:30

We would like someone to help with tidying when they have time, maybe light housekeeping but the primary focus should be on the kids.

We are very flexible and hoping to find someone that appreciates that and wants to stay long term. We do not plan on putting the toddler in daycare or school.

A little bit about us

Hi! We are soon to be a family of four. My husband (Ryan) and I (Megan) are expecting a baby in June 2023 and currently have an 8 year old girl in third grade. We are looking for weekday afternoon care for baby and daughter to begin in October 2023 or perhaps sooner. This would include caring for the baby and bringing baby to mom for food as needed. Both my husband and I work from home. At times, I may be expected in the office. I would leave bottles in this situation. It would also include making sure daughter gets home safely from school, about a three minute drive or fifteen minute walk, and getting her settled with a snack and activity. Daughter is very easy. Baby is TBD! We do have two dogs and one cat, but you will not be responsible for their care aside from letting them in and out if you see them at the door. We do not expect you to do housework aside from tidying after activities you were involved in, e.g. snack or crafts. Daughter should also help you with this. The children are your priority. You will not be expected to supply anything out of your own pocket. Please let us know of anything you need for your time with us.

How to Find an Infant Care Job in Leander, TX

If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.

What is an Infant Nanny in Leander, TX

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Leander, TX? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
