Our daughter is six months old and is almost exclusively breastfed. She will be transitioning to food soon. She also will not have the "standard schedule" of vaccinations; we are waiting until she is older to decide which ones she will get. That said, she is potentially more at risk of infectious diseases, although she has never been sick.
My wife and I will be starting full-time college starting in the spring. We will need to travel to Kirkland and Everett, respectively, between two to four days per week.

I personally have no family here but my fiancé does. Those who live close work full time so we don’t have much support physically. I don’t normally get to do much for myself + from going through PPD - I’ve made a change to finally get some help so I can go to appointments without having any issues with childcare + working around schedules.
We have never had childcare before so this is definitely new territory. Because of our private life, we are wanting to let you know what we are requiring from you :
-Background check
-CPR / First Aid
-Light housekeeping
-2-3 references (no family)
-4+ years of experience
We have a 9 year old dog who is an inside dog for the most part. She is old + loves to make her appearance to get love but she likes to be left alone.
We are not expecting you to do much cleaning except for any mess that is made while you’re here. You will not be asked to do our laundry or clean up after us.
We are hoping to make a friendship out of whomever we hire. We are grateful for your inquiry.

We are looking for a part time babysitter for a few days a week and for evening events we have to attend for work.
We don’t have any pets, you don’t have to clean or cook (unless it’s cleaning up after the baby or making her bottles/snacks)
We have an event coming up on November 3rd. The chiefs Ball (Navy Chiefs) is held this year at the Swinomish Casino. We will need a sitter from 4pm-10pm and will pay upon our return home.
Assuming all is well after the evening of the 3rd we will discuss the availability for having a babysitter 3 days a week for 4-5 hours a day.

How to Find an Infant Care Job in Oak Harbor, WA
If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.
What is an Infant Nanny in Oak Harbor, WA
An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.
Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position
Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:
- What is your specific experience with this age group?
- Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Oak Harbor, WA? Are you willing to be trained?
- How do you handle a crying baby?
- How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
- What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
- How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
- What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?
You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
