A little bit about us

My husband and I are expecting our first child December 2024 and looking for a nanny-share to start in August 2025. We are both architects and live in the Greenlake area in Seattle. We would ideally find another family in the area and alternate who's house is hosting. Hours would ideally be 8-5 Monday through Friday.

A little bit about us

Hello. I'm eager to find a part time nanny for my (currently) 5 mo old son. We'll need help starting in April for 8-9 hour days. We'll typically need help 2-3 days a week. Sometimes more, sometimes less.

I work in healthcare, and my schedule varies. We need someone who can be flexible. We hope that a higher hourly rate will help with this flexibility. We are comfortable with a nanny share if that is better for you.

Thanks for considering.

A little bit about us

Greetings Nannies and Caregivers! My husband and I are looking for a reliable and caring individual to care for our sweet 5 month old baby girl. We hope this is a start of a long term relationship with our family!

We both work from home so will be around during the day. I will be returning to the office a few days a week starting April but my husband will be 100% working from home.

We are open to a nanny share for any families close by our neighborhood with a close age baby.

Start Date: April

Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30a-3p (typically 5-7 hrs/day); open to a nanny share. The start time is necessary due to work meetings starting at 9a but hours worked each day/week can be flexible (+/-). Will need to get on a consistent schedule once things are negotiated and confirmed.

Location: Fremont

Requirements:
* Up to date on vaccinations (Tdap, Flu, and COVID 19)
* Current infant CPR and First Aid certifications
* Hands on experience with infants and toddlers
* 2-3 recent references
* Clean background check
* Non-smoker

Responsibilities: prepare food, feed, clean bottles and change diapers/clothing. Light dishes, laundry and clean up to keep house tidy from whatever is used for and with the little one.

Progressive age appropriate play and activities for development. Comfortable using app to update on care of baby throughout the day. Comfortable taking the baby outside for walks to park and zoo.

Pay: $25-$32 (depending on experience and qualifications)

Both my husband and I are fully vaccinated (COVID - 3 shots, tdap, Flu) and keep current on all immunizations.

How to Find an Infant Care Job in Seattle, WA

If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.

What is an Infant Nanny in Seattle, WA

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Seattle, WA? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
