A little bit about us

Hello! We will be welcoming our first child in February. We are primarily looking for in home care either full time or part time beginning around the end of summer. I’m looking for someone with experience in helping our little one learn and grow and that we can reinforce upon after care has ended each day. My husband and I work from home in a variable manner but are willing to set things up in a way where if you need us we are here, but if not we can stay out of your way. This would primarily be a m-f role but could be more m-w-f if that seems to be the right fit. Start times are variable, both of us can flex our hours. We’d expect that reading time is incorporated daily. Plan for now is to breast feed but also pump enough and introduce him to bottles.

Ideally the nanny would do some social things with our little one:
Story time
Playing at the park
Other play group if we can find one

A little bit about us

Hi there, we are expecting a baby March 1st 2024 and we are just starting our nanny search. We would not need a nanny until May 2024. We have no other kids so it would just be for 1 infant 3 months old at the time of starting. We would hope for this nanny to help with a few cleaning duties as well as take care of the infant during work hours.

What is an Infant Nanny in Seattle, WA

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Seattle, WA? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
