Jenifer H.
Orange$14.28/hr  |  < 1 yr experience
I am 47 years old and a resident of City of Orange. I am happily married to my husband of 19 years. I am also a stay-at-home mother of two children, boys ages 12 and 10. I worked for 10 years at a local fire department as a data entry technician before I became a stay-at-home mom when my first child was born. I have three units in Early Childhood Education, and I would like to continue my education in that field. My personal goal is to at least get 12 units. I have many years of experience working with children of all ages, not only raising my own children, but taking care of other mother's children and babysitting and being a part-time nanny. While my children were infants/toddlers themselves, I worked at local church for a group,I took care of the infants and toddlers for three years. There, I changed diapers, fed bottles, mixed formula, fed baby food, and rocked children to sleep. When my children entered preschool, I was able to get a teacher's assistant position at their preschool in Orange. I worked there for 6 months, as a teacher's assistant. I worked with the older 3 and young 4-year-old group of children. My duties as a teacher's assistant was to change diapers on the children who were not potty trained, monitor bathrooms, get the snacks prepared for snack time, help with painting, and read books to the children in circle time. I was there to help out the teacher in whatever was necessary to make things run smoother in the classroom. Once my children went to grade school, I was able to get a noon duty supervisor position at their school. I watched the children at lunch and recess to make sure they have a safe environment to play and eat in. I have worked there for 4 years. I enjoy working with children of all ages. I am currently working as a babysitter on Saturday evenings for a previous Care.com family who hired me in June of 2011. I just recently became their nanny/caregiver in August I work Tuesday and Thursdays from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. , but no later than 2:00 p.m. the little boy just turned 2 years old. I change diapers, feed him his food and snack, take him to the park, and walk him around the neighborhood. I also do light housekeeping, like washing dishes, putting dishes in/out of the dishwasher, and sweep the floors, pick-up after myself and the child's toys.

Fany P.

Fany seemed to genuinely enjoy interacting with our baby. She also had a great attitude and work ethic. Even though our baby was still a newborn when she became his nanny she was able to make him smile. I would hear her singing to him and reading to him in English and Spanish. - Hilda

Joyce S.

She did some couples nanny hours for me during the weekends and she was lovely with the kids super patient responsible with time and really creative with fun activities Wonderful - Lucy

Siena L.

We loved having Siena taking care of our little one! She was wonderful with our 1 year old, always engaging her through books, music and play. She kept her clean and well fed. Our daughter was always happy at the end of the day. She also did her laundry, cleaned her room and play spaces and the kitchen. - Tammy
