A little bit about me

I am a patient, highly organized, and dependable professional care provider specializing in creating structured, positive, and engaging environments for children. My background combines extensive private in-home childcare and household management with professional experience in behavior analysis. While I am fully skilled in providing specialized support for children with diverse developmental needs and disabilities, my primary focus is delivering high-quality, comprehensive nanny care, routine coordination, and educational activity planning for traditional households. I hold a fully cleared background check and am immediately available to dedicate my skills to a live-in position as a supportive extension of your family.

"Jay Johnson was employed as in-home respite care to my child who is Autistic and has ADHD. At the time, my child was minimally verbal communicating, speaking via an AAC device. Ms. Johnson actively engaged in pretend play with my child, drawing and painting during craft time. She created obstacle course stations in our backyard so my child could enjoy being outside while practicing motor development skills. Ms. Johnson also assisted my child when using the restroom. Ms. Johnson was so patient, kind and caring with my child. They sat and ate every snack and lunch together. It can be challenging to find a person who genuinely wants to come work with a child who (was) non-verbal. My child would squeal to see Ms. Johnson, always run to give her a hug. I am happy to recommend Ms. Johnson for any one-to-one or nanny position. We slowly decreased respite care hours as our therapy hours increased during the week, eventually leading to weekend support, approximately eight hour shifts."

A little bit about me

I would like to start off by saying I am only available March 1st through May 31st.

I am a mama of a neuro-divergent 9 year old boy who has gifted me with a myriad of ways in helping children. My love for helping children is limitless. I love how close we become and how you end up feeling like family.

I am open to care in my home or yours if it's not too far away. We can definitely work something out. We have learning toys, a back yard to play in, parks near by and love going on walks.

"We met Leslie at such a vulnerable time in our life and we truly believe meeting her was meant to be! She was a second mother to my son from 6mos old to 3 years old! She is kind , compassionate, giving, patient, fun and flexible. Leslie really became a part of our family and we miss her to this day! Extra bonus is she is great for military families as she knows from personal experience of being a military spouse. I would strongly recommend her to anyone!"
