A little bit about us

Hi. : ) My name is Veronica and my husband and I welcomed a sweet baby girl about 3.5 months ago. I work from home in project management. My husband works from home 2 days a week. We are exploring hiring a nanny because we want to ensure our little Isabella is loved, nurtured, and cared for during our working hours. She’s a very bright baby and would greatly benefit from someone who can help foster her cognitive development through play, conversation (she’s a chatter!), reading, and just overall engagement. Thank you for your consideration.

Mornings -6 - 8AM
-get children ready, prompt them on chores, fed, on the bus, clean kitchen, take youngest to daycare (possibly)

Afternoons 3:30-6:00PM

Meet bus, help with homework, wash/fold one load of laundry, prompt kids on their chores, make dinner, clean kitchen.

I am a single mom working a demanding job and I need a helper who will work alongside me to help the children have strong patterns/routines and stability in life. All children are kind, but can tend to be lazy. Youngest is especially quite wild. I plan on leaving at 7:30, and being home by 5pm every day. I will give baths, brush teeth, etc, but want an extra set of hands and someone willing to become part of our life in a positive way, while we can hopefully help you get to your next phase. Looking for willingness to see a need and fill it, work during the time there, be firm with boundaries with kids, while also kind. Need immediate help.

A little bit about us

My daughter Brinley is 5 and is in kindergarten so you won’t see much of her but she is very sweet, playful and outgoing. My son Braxton is 3 and loves to play, he’s one of the goofiest kids I know. My daughter Brooks is only a month old and has been an easy baby thus far!
The idea is that the work would be Wednesday, Thursday and Friday approximately 8 hours a day and we’d drop off Brinley at kinder but we’d need her picked up at 2:45 when school lets out, Braxton will have a Mother’s Day out he goes to on Thursday and will need to be dropped off at 9 and picked up at 2 but Wednesday and Friday he’d be there the whole day, Brooks just need someone to give her attention and play with her!

How should I prepare for a nanny interview in San Antonio, TX?

Preparation for a nanny interview is key to landing the job. You should be ready to discuss your experience, skills, and approach to child care. Be prepared to answer common nanny interview questions about scenarios related to child safety, conflict resolution, and age-appropriate activities. Remember, interviews are not only about the family learning more about you but also about you getting to know the family.

What does a typical nanny interview process look like?

A typical nanny interview process usually involves an initial phone screening, followed by one or two in-person interviews. The family might ask you to interact with the children during one of these interviews. Some families may also request a trial period. This is an opportunity for both parties to ensure a good fit before committing to a formal agreement, which is usually outlined in a nanny contract.

Are there any specific requirements or considerations for nanny jobs in San Antonio, TX?

In San Antonio, as with most nanny jobs, you'll need to undergo background checks to ensure the safety of the children you'll be caring for. Most families will want to see a clean criminal record, driving record, and references from past childcare roles. You can learn more about the importance of background checks on our website.

Additionally, depending on the nature of the job (full-time, part-time, or summer nanny job), there might be additional considerations. For instance, a summer nanny job in San Antonio might involve taking the kids to popular summer spots like the Natural Bridge Caverns or the San Antonio River Walk. A part-time nanny job might require more flexibility in hours, while a full-time nanny job often comes with more responsibilities and therefore, a higher salary.
