A little bit about us

We are in search of a part time, but LONG TERM babysitter/nanny for our two children. We have recently hired someone to help us out for the next 6 weeks, but she is leaving to go to law school sometime in the summer. We are looking to hire someone by the first week of July. We have a six year old girl and a three year old boy. For the school year, we need someone to pick up our children from school two days per week and spend time with them until we get home from work. They go to St. Marks Episcopal in Ortega and we live right around the corner. Over the summer, they need to be picked up from summer camp; one child will be at St. Marks and the other will be at the Episcopal Munnerlyn campus off of Atlantic Blvd. The hours will be from 3 PM until between 6 and 7 PM. My husband and I both work until at least 6 PM, and sometimes later. The days will be either Monday and Tuesday or Monday and Thursday. These days are flexible and can be discussed. During the time with our kids, we ask for help with putting away shoes and back packs, washing out the lunch boxes, playing games, arts and crafts, or doing outdoor activities. Visits to the local park are welcome. During the school year, help with homework is needed. Our daughter will be in the first grade, so it will be basic math, science and reading. Very light cooking is requested for dinner for the kids. We are not requesting gourmet cooking, just easy kid friendly healthy meals. We can even help to food prep before hand if needed. We would also love to offer the opportunity for weekend and date night babysitting as well. We are also always in need of child care when the school is closed and they don't offer holiday care coverage. We do have both cats and dogs in the home. If anyone is interested in having a conversation about this position, please reach out.
