My past childcare experience is extensive. I have touched the lives of several children, and in turn they have touched my life too. In my first paid live in experience, I cared for five children all under the age of five. The youngest child was an infant when I joined the family, he and I became buddies instantly. I lived with that family for a little over nine months, and after moving out I continued to nanny for them weekly. Since then, I have worked with over seven different families and in one daycare. I am extremely passionate about caring for children. I have the most experience with infants and toddlers, and that is my favorite age range to work with; however, I love all children. In every position, I handled child care needs; as well as, managing to keep the house clean, and at times cook. My main focus is always the children. I enjoy running errands and empowering children to engage in a healthy lifestyle. I love learning with children, it's always fun, fascinating, and adventurous. It's important to me to create a loving, safe, nurturing environment for everyone in the home.

I started subbing as an EA (educational asst.) at Iroquois Pt. Elem. & now I'm a PPT (para-professional tutor) 3 days a week in a kindergarten classroom. Also I have my niece 3-4 days a week, take her to and from school the days she has school. Take her to the park or to get a snack. When we get home we do homework and sometimes if it's not too late she takes a cat nap. On weekends if I'm off from my other job we'll go on field trips whether it's to the mall or the beach. Somewhere to keep her entertained and for her to enjoy herself!

My family in HUGE and there is always a baby around :) so I first started helping around with my nieces and nephews when I was 12. Then I realized I could do it on my own worked as a babysitter in my neighborhood from the age of 13, I loved it! While I was in high school I took a child development class and worked in a preschool, we planned lessons, made snacks, and did activities with the children. After I graduated high school I got a job as a special education aide at the elementary school. The first child I worked with had developmental and physical disabilities, I became very involved with him and his family and soon began to babysit for them also. I was then moved to a different school in the district and worked as a resource aide, I taught reading groups and worked with the children in their classrooms. I worked in the district for 5 years before I got married and moved to Hawaii with my husband.
