Hi there! I am 22 and looking to provide safe and effective service during this unique time. I believe that meal prep, dishes, some laundry, and helping the children keep their things tidy, are all parts of excellent child care.

Hey there if you're reading this you're wondering if I'm a good enough candidate or not right ? Well let me tell you why I'd be perfect. I'm from a family of 6, 3rd born so I have tons of experience with the little ones. As I aged I ventured out to work with more families. Also teaching sign language on the side. I was a full time nanny prior to the pandemic. These days I keep busy but want to get back to working with kids again. Hope to be of help !

I started my childcare career at the young age of 12 as a mother's helper. By the age of 14 I had regular Friday and Saturday night gigs with three local families. And at 23, I am now an experienced nanny caring for children of all ages. I have experience with infants, toddlers, and elementary/middle school aged children; as well as experience with special needs children & twins/multiples. I'd be happy to provide you with glowing reference letters from 3 adoring families! Thanks for visiting! Hope to meet you soon :)

I have known for quite some time, that whatever it is I choose for a career, it's going to be with children. My family knows me as the one who comes to all the barbecues and even though I'm 23, spends all my time at the "kids table." I love children and always have! There is something about myself that kids love, it might be my energy, bubbly personality, or very friendly demeanor. I first started as a babysitter of course when I was younger and then started working at The Little Gym, which is motor skill development and exercise based on gymnastics for children 4 months to 12 years old. I became quickly promoted, and fell in love with the program. I started doing nanny work for the owner of the gym, as well as a new client from Woodstock. I come very highly recommended and would be a perfect addition to keep any household running smooth! Your children whatever the age will love learning and developing art, athletic, problem solving, and music skills while they're with me, not just being baby-sat. I like to keep children busy from treasure hunts, to fort building, to just plain running around and getting exersize.

Well I currently live in New York but am looking for positions in Connecticut. I am moving within a month and am most definately willing to take the drive for the interview as I am currently not far from Connecticut. I have been providing child care since I was 15 and recently held a full time nanny position 8 hours a day, 5 days a week for a wonderful family. We did morning breakfasts, arts and crafts, music, games, had lunch, would then take our walks, nap time (where then I would do a few household chores), then a nice afternoon movie with snack time. Occasionally I had to do night sitting for them as well where I made dinner, bath time, story, and bed. Upon falling asleep I would then do the housework. The other families I care for are usually morning jobs, and a lot of nice jobs, therefore I have experiences in all day shifts, and kids of all ages. I got the best compliment the other day, they said i not only came in as a babysitter, but i became apart of the family. Ever since I have been with their kids they have manners, dont fight, they share, and pick up after themselves, they even communicate with the parent when they are angry instead of throwing a tantrum!

I have been caring for children since I was 12 years old. I have cared for children of all ages. I never depend on the television to entertain a child, and love using imagination and actually playing and interacting with them!

Hire a nanny with great references
Nicole C.

Nikki is great with our son. He is 3 (almost 4) and Nikki is basically his best friend. He talks about her all the time. Nikki and him play games, build stuff, play outside and eat snack. She's reliable, caring, and courteous and she understands our restrictions / limitations during covid and respects our parenting style. Highly reccomend. - Sean

Christina C.

Christina is a warm, loving, and fun sitter. I have left my children with her since they were infants. They all love her and ask for her to come over. She is professional, and an all around joy to be around. I have always felt completely comfortable leaving my children with her, and knew that she could handle anything that came her way. I highly, highly, recommend Christina! - Stephanie

Christina C.

Christina is always on time (usually early) and takes great care of the kids. They always enjoyed the time they spent with her. She follows all directions we give her for bedtime routines and things like that. She also loves snuggling the pets. - Katie

Understand Nanny Responsibilities in Kingston, NY

Before beginning the search for a nanny, it’s important to understand what you’re looking for and if a nanny is the right choice for your child care needs. In hiring a nanny, first, you should think through what responsibilities you expect your nanny to handle. With that information, you can create a profile so that nannies can reach out to you. The boundaries for nannies duties vary from family to family. In general, a nanny is responsible for making sure your children’s needs are met, including things like ensuring they have opportunities to play and be active. When tasks go beyond child care, for example, housekeeping or meal preparation, it’s good practice to communicate these expectations with your nanny before hiring them. Along with the different duties that you ask for, experience and location can impact how much you should pay your nanny.

Kingston Nanny Interviews

Once you start connecting with prospective nannies, the next step is a nanny interview. To make things a bit easier, here’s a list of some nanny interview questions to consider asking:

  • Do you have experience being a nanny?
  • How do you handle tantrums? Can you share an experience disciplining children?
  • What sort of household tasks are you open to doing?
  • Are you open to a live in arrangement in Kingston? Do you have experience being a live in nanny?
  • Are you open to being a nanny in a nanny share?
  • Do you have any references?
  • Are you trained in First Aid or CPR in Kingston?
  • Do you have a driver’s license in NY? Do you own a car?
  • What salary are you seeking? Are you open to being paid through direct-deposit, pay stubs?
  • What are your expectations around over-time pay and vacation time?

During the hiring process, it’s essential to ask for references, and by asking their references questions you gain a better understanding of they will fit in your family. As you get closer to hiring a nanny, be sure to run a background check to ensure your kids are in good hands. When evaluating a prospective nanny, it’s essential to make sure you’re setting the foundation for a good relationship with your nanny. You can do this by being clear about your expectations around nanny responsibilities and compensation, and of course, by being friendly and welcoming! And of course, as you learn how to hire a nanny, Nanny Lane's nanny services are here to help you along the way.
