A little bit about me

I’m a young grandma-in-waiting (my daughter just got married) I raised two kids who worked hard, loved sports, and did well in school. Being their mom shaped most of the choices I made.

I have a Master’s in Education and I’m a licensed teacher. I spent some time in the classroom but preferred working one-on-one. I did private tutoring and consulting, often with kids who had learning differences and big goals, including playing Division I sports.

When my kids were young, I stayed home with them when I could. That’s simply what worked for our family, and I have a lot of respect for the different ways parents make it all work.

These days, I run a baking and treats business. I like working with my hands and building something of my own.

I’ve been married for 30 years to an amazing man and I’m looking forward to the next thirty. I love exercise, dogs, and staying busy. I believe effort matters, encouragement matters, and kids are capable of more than we sometimes think.
