Making sure the child's emotional needs are met. I think to work with children you do not only need love but appreciation for them. They are not simply little adults and are unique in personality and needs. As a nanny it is one's job to take the time to get to know this persona and recognize these needs to ensure rather the child is excited, sad, or frustrated they are being communicated with in a way they personally can comprehend, and are feeling safe and understood.
