A little bit about me

Hello, My name is Amanda. I am 20 years old and I am from New York. I am from a small town on Long Island. Watching children has always been a source of nostalgia. Now that I'm concentrating more on being a nanny, I understand how wonderful I am at what I do. I am also remarkably mature for my age. In addition to having a driver's license, I am now Adult,Child and Baby First Aid/CPR/ AED and Water Safety certificated. I am actively working on getting my Advanced Child Training certification. I apologize as English is my first and only language. I would love to tell you more about myself right now, but I wouldn't want to ruin the experience of telling you personally how incredible I am as a person.

(P.S I do have a reference letter from my first 2 year nannying gig! I’d love to send it your way😊 This would be my first live in experience!)

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have always been a babysitter considering I am one of the oldest cousins. I started babysitting around town for neighbors when I was 10 years old. After I graduated high school I started my first nannying job which lasted a little over a year. It was Monday-Friday 7am-5pm. Unfortunately, they moved away, but for good reason (they were expecting! Needed a bigger home). For this family the boy was one years old when I started, just started walking and definitely did not talk. By the time they moved, little boy and I were having very intellectual conversations and he was NOT a shy kid. It’s been about three years now since I’ve started nannying, and I never wanna look back! I cooked and cleaned, I may not be the best cook, but I know how to follow a recipe! It is very important to me that the kiddos are happy, feel safe, and protected with me. I love children so so much and they always love me :)

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I do a lot of teaching exercises, which consists of grammar and spelling, also how to express yourself properly, etc. I love taking the kids to the park, museums, and really anything thats available for us.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My motivation and most important part about being a nanny is to give a helping hand! But also to make their childhood as memorable as possible! Your childhood matters☺️

My experience with special needs children...

Before my mother became a nurse, she was a full-time special ed teachers aid! On top of that every Tuesday and Thursday we hangout with our friend Josie, who also has autism. She’s a sweet girl, in her late 20s. I do have some experience when it comes to navigating that world :)

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite memory shared while on my nannying experience are our dance parties! Sometimes when we get a little worked up, we just need to put on some good music and dance it out! Of course we end the dance party with a big hug to show I have their back!

My child caring began many years ago as a part-time sitter for younger cousins and other relative, later my own siblings. Then nieces nephews and the babies of friends. I typically do this in between other work ventures. I am now a mom of four. Currently looking for a part time task that is suitable to do as well as continue as a full time mom with not too large an add-on.

Hi, my name is Fajr. I am a 20-year-old college student with a deep passion for working with children. I come from a large family and have seven siblings, many of whom I helped raise growing up. This has given me hands-on experience in caring for children of all ages, from infants to teenagers. Over the years, I’ve developed strong skills in patience, attentiveness, and understanding the unique needs of each child. I take pride in being nurturing, responsible, and careful when it comes to childcare. Part-Time Child Care Provider Available in New York, NY: Aisha F.

My name is Aisha fofana. I am a student a John jay college studying law and society. I worked at luminous center helping the lead teacher with 3 year olds. My role was to help out making sure the kids were fed, engage in fun activities with them, monitor there safety and also allowing the kids to be vocal and letting them choose what they wanted to do as long as it’s safe. I also stayed with my aunt for 2 years when she gave birth to my cousin to help her while she was going through post partum. I took on roles like helping her feed the baby, cleaning bottles, bathing the baby changing diapers and e.t.c. I myself have 5 younger siblings the youngest being 2 and one being 7 he has autism and through this journey I learned how to cater to all kids. Over all I love kids and this is why in the future I would like to be a children’s lawyer.
