A little bit about me

I recently completed my first year of teaching and have discovered how much I enjoy working with children and helping them grow both academically and personally. As a teacher, I have the summers off, which gives me the opportunity to explore new experiences while I consider my next steps. I am currently deciding whether to pursue a master's degree or continue teaching in the classroom, but I know that working with children will always be a part of my future.
I have a special passion for supporting children with special needs, both because of my personal experiences and the meaningful connections I have built throughout my professional journey. I find great fulfillment in creating supportive, engaging environments where children feel safe, valued, and encouraged to reach their full potential. During this time, I am excited to continue making a positive impact by helping families in need of reliable and compassionate care.

More About Me

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Going to the park, games, cooking(baking), being outdoors, and so much more

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part of being a nanny is building a trusting and supportive relationship with both the children and their family. Children thrive when they feel safe, understood, and cared for, and I believe it is my role to create an environment where they can learn, grow, and be themselves. Being a nanny is about more than supervision—it's about being a positive influence, encouraging confidence and independence, and creating meaningful connections. I strive to be someone families can rely on and someone children look forward to spending time with each day.

My experience with special needs children...

I have experience supporting individuals with special needs through both personal and professional roles. Growing up and living with my sister, who has special needs, has given me firsthand experience with the patience, understanding, and consistency needed to provide quality care and support. This has helped me develop strong communication skills and the ability to adapt to individual needs.
Professionally, I taught special education for one year, working with students with a range of learning, developmental, and behavioral needs. I also have experience as a caregiver for families with special needs children, helping with daily routines, supervision, engagement, and creating a safe, supportive environment. These experiences have given me a strong foundation in providing compassionate, dependable care while building positive relationships with both children and their families.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite nanny memories is playing pretend Pokémon battles with the children I cared for. No matter how hard I tried, I could never win! They always seemed to have a new Pokémon, special move, or creative rule that guaranteed their victory. Watching their imaginations run wild and seeing how excited they were to create their own adventures always made me smile. Those moments reminded me that some of the best parts of working with children are joining them in their world, encouraging their creativity, and making memories together—even if it means losing every Pokémon battle.
