Is being able to have patience. Taking care of children comes with a lot, and if you’re not able to be patient, it can lead to a lot of misunderstandings and mistrust.
My experience with special needs children...
I’ve worked with my special-needs cousin, who is hard of hearing and speaks, ASL. Although I don’t speak ASL, I have a pretty easy time understanding him and his needs and necessities.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moment is watching my kids grow up. I’ve watched one of the children that I’ve been taken care of since I was basically a child, graduate middle school. And it just goes to show how long I’ve been in the child’s life and how much of an impact I’ve had on their life.
