Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have been hired as a live-in nanny for a 16 week-old infant where I coordinated with the infant’s mother for round-the-clock care. This included feeding, bathing, changing, and providing infant-specific cleaning (e.g., bottle sterilization). I was hired back for the following three summers, allowing me to also assist in language acquisition, mobility, potty training, and other fundamental processes in development.
My experience as a live-out nanny for a different family continued to expand my expertise in childcare, as this position involved providing the highest quality care for two children, both under the age of six. My position included housekeeping, transportation, and daily routines, as well as academic functioning (e.g., reading comprehension, creative development), and emotional and behavioral functioning. I have experience with and love to utilize Montessori methods!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Swimming has to be my favorite! I love being in the water and the kids learn so many useful skills.

The most important part about being a nanny...
Is making sure that both the children and the parents are supported. You are an extension of them, so a good dynamic with open communication and a clear schedule means just as much as hitting it off with the child(ren).

I have a Bachelors in Special Education, and am EIPA certified as an ASL Interpreter with years of experience aiding Deaf Elementary school students in communication. I have extensive experience in the field of Early Childhood Development and Developmental Psychology.
