I have started out working at a recreational center since I’ve been in high school. Ever since then I’ve moved on to babysitting/ nannying also working inside daycare centers.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy going outside to the playground or to take a walk. I enjoy doing scientific activities or other arts and crafts with children. I enjoy playing pretend or dress up also sitting back and reading books or watching their favorite movies.
The most important part about being a nanny...
What matters to me most is feeling like I am apart of the family, not feeling like I’m here to do a job, which I understand that I am, I just love to do the things that bring me joy.
My experience with special needs children...
I have worked with children of autism and children that are not verbal. Both experiences were wonderful for me to witness. These children have overcome challenges such as saying nothing at all to saying little or some words, also from being deprived of independency to wanting and doing everything on their own.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moment is when I step foot inside of the family’s home and everyone is excited to see me also welcoming me with warm hugs and events I might have missed.
