My experience with special needs children...
I did a case somewhere in 2021 in Wall Street New York with a private family 3 boys..(2,3,5) The elder brother was special need. It was rather challenging but nothing is to challenging for me. Being that I love what I do ! It's just that taking care of a special need kid is very sensitive and demanding and should be a one on one case. My nephew is also a special need kid..I had to walk away from that job because it was difficult to take care of the elder brother and his siblings al together..Its a demanding case and my personal opinion the families do not show much appreciation when it comes to the salary.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Is bonding with nannies and parents within the community. My current job I made a huge group within that community which everyone felt like family.. Keeping in contact with my kids and family when they're all grown up. It makes you so proud to see them all grown teenagers,knowing you had a part to play in their upbringing.
