More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Relevant experience where I also cared for children includes my role as a live-in au pair in Greece caring for a two-year-old child, my experience as a sixth-grade English teacher supporting students academically and emotionally, my work as an academic coach and tutor for elementary and middle school students, and my background as a personal development facilitator supporting individuals with developmental disabilities. Across these roles, I managed routines, encouraged learning and independence, supported emotional development, and created safe, nurturing, and structured environments for children and families.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Activities I enjoy doing with children include reading books together, arts and crafts, outdoor play, imaginative play, educational games, baking, music and dance activities, and hands-on learning projects. I also enjoy supporting children with homework and creative learning activities that encourage curiosity, confidence, and independence. I value creating fun, engaging experiences that are both enriching and developmentally appropriate while helping children feel safe, supported, and encouraged.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part about being a nanny is creating a safe, loving, and supportive environment where children feel secure, valued, and encouraged to grow into confident individuals. I believe being a nanny is about much more than supervision — it is about building trust, supporting emotional and developmental growth, maintaining consistency and structure, and becoming a dependable source of care and positivity in a child’s life. Strong communication with families, patience, adaptability, and genuine compassion are all essential in helping children thrive.

My experience with special needs children...

My experience with special needs children includes supporting individuals with Autism, ADHD, Down syndrome, and developmental disabilities through both educational and caregiving roles. As a Personal Development Facilitator with United Cerebral Palsy Association of San Diego County, I helped individuals build life skills, independence, and confidence through structured, individualized support. I have also worked with children in academic settings who required additional behavioral, emotional, and learning support. My approach is patient, compassionate, adaptable, and focused on creating safe, supportive environments where each child feels understood, encouraged, and empowered to succeed.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite nanny moments was during my time as an au pair in Greece caring for a two-year-old child. Over time, I watched her become more confident, curious, and independent through the routines, learning activities, and trust we built together each day. One especially meaningful moment was hearing her excitedly repeat new words and proudly show her parents skills we had practiced together. Seeing the joy and pride on both her face and her family’s reminded me how rewarding it is to support children during such important developmental stages and build lasting, meaningful connections with families.
