A little bit about me

I'm Carolina, a passionate caregiver from Argentina (fluent in English and Spanish), and graduated as a Psychologist and a Psychology professor.
I succesfully finished my 2 years Au Pair Program and now I’m looking for a full time nanny position in NYC.
A little bit about my experience with kids:
I worked in Argentina providing children’s therapy and here in the United States I was Au Pair of 4 kids in Westchester (new born baby,2,4 and 6 yo) I stayed with that family for a whole year!
The last year I was in Massachussets taking care of 3 kids (4,7 and 11 yo) also, another year!
I am CPR/First Aid certified and have 8 years of childcare experience. I am very creative, fun, active and loving. As a psychologist, I always priorize children's development and I follow the guidelines of parenting you prefer!

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

As a psychologist, I worked providing therapy and mental health support to children and teenagers that were victims of abuse. I worked for the Argentinian goverment in the secretary in charge of providing support to victims.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I really enjoy planning specific activities for each age to help develop children's education!
If the parents agree, I love taking the kids outdoors so they can have some time in a different environment, for example: different playgrounds, library (I always check the activities the local libraries offer for certain ages), parks, go on walks together.
I also enjoy playing with them different games according to their age and level of understanding.
I really enjoy being part of their learning process too so sometimes educational moments are included (I taught my host kids Spanish, Maths)

The most important part about being a nanny...

Is to follow the guidance of what the parents ask. I know you are trusting me your biggest treasures and I want you to know that everything will be done exactly as you asked it. I want the parents to trust me a hundred percent and to provide them calm that their children will be in good hands and that I will always priorize their raising style, the manners and values they have.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I really want to have an impact on the children's lives and that they have good memories with me. My favorite moment definitely is when my host kids run to me telling me they love me from Argentina to the United States a thousand times, when in school they ask them to draw their families and they always include me, when they tell me I am the best caregiver they had, and when they show me they know I am a safe space for them and that they can trust me to cry or tell me what's wrong because they feel protected.
