Being present. Teach, interact, nurture and show them love. Not letting them sit there and watch tv and play video games all day.

As I've never worked as a "nanny", but a "Professional Aunt" as my Mom would say. There is the joy in a childs face when they are having fun and being silly. When you see how proud they are of themselves when they accomplice something they didn't think they could do. When you arrive and they run up to you with their smiling face and hug your legs. All these moments make my heart happy.
