More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I am a mother to a now 18 month old child, and I provided care to family members children of various age groups while growing up. I participated in after school programs where I tutored primary age children.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Dancing, if they are able to color than coloring, listening to music, reading, crafting if they are able, and letting the children help with baking is always a fun activity. It's age dependent but always finding something age appropriate to expand their minds is something I love.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Making sure that the children are happy, fed, and well cared for. If a house is clean but a child is not happy than there is no point

My experience with special needs children...

I do not have any experience with special needs children, I am open to learning.

Natalie B. - Seeking Work in Portland

Part-Time Nanny Available in Portland, OR: Natalie B.

Nurturing young minds is my passion, and most of my adulthood I have been providing enriching childcare experiences by working closely with families as their nanny. I am currently an Educational Assistant at PPS and will be pursuing a master's degree in Early Childhood Education. I'm First Aid and CPR Training certified. I'm comfortable caring for up to two children of varying ages, from infants to pre-teens.

I believe in creating a safe and stimulating environment through activities like board games, puzzles, and educational games. I am patient, friendly, and comfortable enforcing household rules. I'm happy to assist with cooking, light housekeeping, crafts, and swimming supervision. I communicate with parents at pickup and follow your preferred method. Seeing children thrive brings me immense joy, and I look forward to the opportunity to care for your little ones.

Hayley E. - Seeking Work in Portland

Full-Time Child Care Provider Available in Portland, OR: Hayley E.

My name is Hayley. I’m a writer, cat lover, dabbler in herbalism, ethical world traveler. I am very much anti-racist.
Pre COVID, I was a preschool teacher for four years in constructivist, Reggio Emilia programs. These philosophies very much inspire my personal pedagogy and way of looking at the world. I am CPR and First Aid certified, as well as recent on my background check and fingerprints.
I am brimming with ideas for activities, including fun, educational indoor ones. I love to get outside with kiddos too, even if only on foot around the neighborhood, and get curious. Rain or shine (or snow), I'm game!
In terms of nannying or babysitting, I am looking for about 15-25 hours a week, preferably in North/Northeast Portland, with a family that is taking COVID precautions very seriously. My rate is $20 an hour. My ideal age range is anywhere above 2.5 years old, but I am willing to be flexible on that if me and the child/family vibe well!
I am also an English/Writing tutor.

Kari M. - Seeking Work in Portland

Part-Time Child Care Provider Available in Portland, OR: Kari M.

Hi! My name is Kari (pronounced Kare-EE) and I currently work as a barista at a cute cafe in Portland. I’ve worked in the food/drink industry most of my adult life, and I’m looking to switch careers to something a bit more rewarding to my soul. I worked as I nanny when I was a lot younger, and although it has been quite awhile since, my inherent connection with children has never gone away, I love being around and hanging out with them. I believe I have a lot to offer to any family- I’m intelligent, silly, playful, loving, and nurturing. I love to cook, clean, forage, read, paint, learn new things, and hoping to learn more about gardening this year. I’m personally looking for a family with an open mind, doesn’t take life too seriously, maybe a family that’s a bit more alternative (I have lots of tattoos) and overall a family I connect with on a deeper level, I’d love to build a lasting relationship with whoever I end up with!
Please reach out if you feel we might be a good fit!
