A little bit about me

I am currently pursuing my graduate degree in education with a focus in natural sciences and environmental education. I have worked the last two years as an informal environmental educator with a nature preserve in Alabama and currently work part-time with the Conservation Education Team at the Houston Zoo. I have worked with students all the way from pre-k through high school. I love engaging children with the natural world and seeing how their minds work and the discoveries they can make!

In high school I worked as a nanny for a family with three children. I cared for a toddler and twin infants from the time they were two months old until I left for college.

My personal hobbies include spending time outside, hiking, paddling, swimming, or just walking my dog. I enjoy reading and cooking and would be able to tend to light housework and help with meal prep if you had the need.
