The most important part about being a nanny...
*I don't think theres any most important part to being a nanny. I don't think raising a child is black and white. You have to be aware of their safety, emotions, skills, wants, and needs. I believe that you have to have mutual respect so that they can build boundaries and I can build boundaries. Never do I want to make a child feel not respected. I think it's definitely a team between all parts including the parents to achieve a healthy loving environment for your child.
My experience with special needs children...
* I have, at the YMCA there were several kids who had autism and I had an aunt with down syndrome so being able to relate was never an issue.
