I've worked with Special Needs children and patience and positive energy is crucial. Positive reinforcement is vital, as well as setting boundaries and attempting to explain why limits are important.

The most important part about being a nanny...

There are so many but when my daughter was five years old, she asked how she came to this world, and leaving the more technical expectation to my wife, I quickly responded that Mommy and Daddy loved themselves so much that they had a dream of a very beautiful and fun girl, and when we sat down one day, we closed our eyes real hard and called your name, and YOU popped up! She responded, "Daddy, you're so funny but that's not true!' That was the end of my biology lesson with my daughter.
