I’ve worked as an art teacher, and taught grades 1-12. I have also worked in art camps and after school clubs with elementary aged children. I have also worked with special needs elementary aged children in a graduate program with my current school.

I love being outdoors, playing various sports, hiking, and swimming! I also love art making, and allowed children to explore new materials.

What matters to me is pouring into the child or children that I am working with. Encouraging them to be the best that they can be, to be creative, bold, and confident in who they are! It is my duty first and foremost to keep each child safe and healthy.
My experience with special needs children...
I have had experience working with special needs children in two art education circumstances. One child was 7 years old at the art camp that I worked at, and the other group of children were 5-8 years old. These students were mostly ADHD and on the autism spectrum. I have not worked with children who have physical disabilities, but I have learned and am learning a lot about how to work with children and adults who are special needs. This semester, I am working with adults who have physical disabilities.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moment is always reading a child’s favorite book! Seeing the joy on their face and the anticipation as they wait for each page flip is so silly and so sweet.
