My experience with special needs children...

Autism (verbal and non-verbal)
I was also diagnosed with autism after I graduated from college! I enjoy sharing the tools and strategies I've learned from growing up undiagnosed and a few more that were introduced to me afterwards.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I cared for twin boys in their preschool years and one day I showed them how to address an envelope and send a letter in the mail. My mailbox received so much love from that small moment. They would write me send me many funny things in the mail almost mostly telling me what I missed over the weekends. They are in high school now and I still receive letters from them on occasion.
