Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I am the 5th oldest of 17 children. My mother started paying me to babysit when I was 14. I was taking care of five kids in diapers at once for a time (she had twins.) From there I have been a babysitter through word of mouth until now. I just moved to the Kansas City area though so I no longer have a word of mouth network. I’m looking forward to getting back into it as my children love having others to play with.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
We play a lot of pretend, a little bit piano, singing, dancing, do lots of painting, reading. Any nice day there is, we’re going out on trail walks and to the park.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Love. A child can feel when someone genuinely loves and cares for them. They can tell the difference between someone who is faking niceness and someone who genuinely cares for their well being.
My experience with special needs children...
One of my younger siblings who is now 10 is special needs. She doesn’t speak and has a hard time doing for herself. I have learned to help children with such needs through helping her.

Watching kids play together. When little creative minds get together, it’s truly and eye opening experience to relive as an adult.
